One of the hardest things to do during Thanksgiving is stick to your diet.
Although you may love your Grandma’s famous turkey, buttered mashed potatoes and gravy too much, these delicious foods could have consequences to the progress you’ve made all year.

HAVE A SNACK
If you sit down at the table with an empty stomach you are more likely to chow down like there’s no tomorrow. Eating a light, high protein snack before dinner will help you feel more full and prevent overeating.
EAT SMALL PORTIONS
Putting a limit on how much you eat is the key to staying fit. Eat a mixture of vegetables or salad instead of loading your plate with lots of stuffing and mash potatoes.
Stay away from sugary soft drinks and alcohol. The benefits to drinking water are endless. It has zero calories and helps you feel more full faster so that you eat less.
Even if you are dieting, you certainly can still enjoy eating on the holidays. Thanksgiving is only one day out of the year, so don’t over do it. Your waistline will thank you!
