You know that rule that says you should drink eight glasses of water a day? While very important, it isn’t always fun or easy. Many people don’t like the taste of water or drinking a lot of it can become boring. Luckily, there is an another way to get your eight glasses a day and not hate doing it. Try detox water!

Detox water has been the talk of the summer. It is said to be a great waist slimmer and very beneficial to the body while flushing out harmful toxins. Some of the most popular detox water recipes include watermelon, which helps filter the liver and kidneys; lemon which regulates digestion and mint leaves which add refreshing flavor and also help with digestion.

If you want to try this refreshing drink here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1-2 liters of cool water
  • Half a watermelon
  • One lemon
  • A handful of mint leaves

Cut your watermelon into cubes and place them in a pitcher or jug. Toss in the lemon wedges and a handful of fresh mint leaves for flavor and top it off by pouring in the cool water. Refrigerate overnight to allow the fresh fruits to infuse the water. When you’re ready to drink, just add some ice cubes, pour and enjoy a burst of refreshing flavors.

This twist can make drinking water not only tasty, but more beneficial to your body. Try it out for yourself to see what you think.
